Drunk Man
Currently: Getting settled better at my new home
Craving: chocolate covered bananas?
So while I was stuck at the hospital the other night hubby had a few guy friends over to play video games and drink beer. You know the old adage, "when the cat's away the mice will play" well while they were upstairs having a cigarette on the patio this drunk guy goes to the storage unit below us and starts banging on the door yelling for them to let him in. My husband told him no one lives there but it didn't even register to this guy. After a good 10 minutes of this he called the cops cause the guy looked like he had already gotten into a bar fight earlier in the evening with scratches on his face and his constant slurring. While on the line with dispatch the man walked up the stairs and banged on our across the way neighbor's door and when he wasn't given entrance he went upstairs and did the same.
After a short stint of banging on the doors in that stairwell he went down and into the second stairwell for our set of four apartments and did the same, only this time he went to our back door and banged on ours and we told him to go away....but he kept yelling that his cousin lived there and his brother wasn't letting him in downstairs so he started kicking the door to get in. My husband and the two other guys got together near the door as the frame broke from the guys constant kicking and my husband grabbed his arisoft handgun and took the orange tip off of it and pointed it at the door. When the door finally did swing open from getting kicked repeatedly the guy saw the gun and stumbled backwards down the narrow steps to the next landing and asked where his cousin was. My husband told him that his cousin didn't live there and the dispatch officer was still on the phone. That went on for another 10 minutes before the cops finally showed up on scene (40 min after the call was originally placed!) when they took the guy in handcuffs and started asking him questions he told the officers that my husband and his friends had attacked him and he hadn't done anything wrong. (while explaining the marks on his face) and my husband had to yell down to the cops 3 times before they listened that he had those before he got on site and that it was in the description he had given.
Then they were saying "If you don't tell us where you live son, we are going to have to take you to the precinct." again, hubby had to yell three times for them to realize he had kicked down our door and busted the frame before the cop said "Oh, in that case you're going with us." and put him in the car and took him away. So when I came home from the hospital that next day I had a broken door. Thankfully the complex fixed it rather quickly. Talk about scary drama man! I'm just glad I was busy clicking away at my computer in a hospital bed away from it. That could have sent me into labor!

Hospital Stay
Currently: Sitting in a hospital bed
Craving: chicken nuggets
So....not long after my first post I was woken up by hubby leaving early for work...though that leaving early didn't consist of taking the dog out before he left cause he was "leaving late" though I know he would have made it there early....he just hasn't configured the time difference between the old house and the new apt. So I went out with my big old belly to walk said dog.....things went well...until he saw another dog which we avoided by going around the other side of the building....only they went through the walkway to that side too...so I bent down to hold his collar and before I got my footing he pulled again and I fell over on my stomach and of course quickly to my side...Hubby rushed home and insisted on going to the ER, my doc agreed but in the end they were only slightly worried cause I was having constant braxton hicks contractions but they wanted to monitor them a bit more, apparently they were rather large contractions but I just didn't feel it much. I maybe this means that I will have an easy delivery? Needless to say, I'm no longer allowed to walk the dog...not that it is his fault or anything, just it'd be safer if I don't. Sadly, this experience has brought my computer with me only to get dropped and slightly broken...now I have to send it off to be fixed, but I think I'll wait till after Anthony gets here so that way I can upload pictures when he's born.
On the bright side this means some alone time with my computer and writing. Though I don't have all my notes and materials...guess I'll have to wing it and try to remember if person A has green eyes or not ... I foresee a lot of editing in my future....
New Apartment!
Currently: Still sleeping (auto post)
Craving: More sleep
So I'm happily moved into my new apartment today. :D We had loads of help from friends and those neighbors I talked about before. Altogether we managed to get the bedroom finished and bed made, the kitchen stocked properly and the rest is in boxes and scattered about the living room and dining room...but we made sure that the couch and TV (plus acoutraments) were all in order so as to watch TV tomorrow....well...maybe not TV since we can't afford cable right now...but DVDs and playing video games at least! lol
Though there is one VITAL piece we left at home....our pillows...

Whataburger FAILs
Currently: Sitting in line waiting for my food at whataburger
Craving: My order! Double Meat Katsup and pickles only EXTRA greasy burgerSo there is need to say EPIC FAIL! We (*future/past* neighbors and I) decided to stop by What-a-burger (pronounced wuta-burger to those of you not from south Texas) for some grub before going to the kick-ball game (cause down here its an actual sport with a league and all!) and we've been sitting in line for a total of 10 minutes and we only JUST got to the window to order.....there are still 5 cars in front of us waiting on their food...
~~~20 minutes later~~~
We are still stuck in this stupid line but THANKFULLY there is only one car ahead of us....if they don't bring me the food soon...prego is gonna attack....lol
Sisterly Bonding
Currently: Playing pool
Craving: Popcorn
So I have a younger sister (by 3 years) who is often thought to be the older sibbling out of the two of us....only because she wears makeup and picks out specific clothing...I could go to wal-mart and happily buy a shirt and jeans and go around with no makeup and a pony-tail all day. Needless to go further....we are polar opposites...thus, we don't get along very well...well didn't. Now that she's going to be an aunt (or quite possibly cause I'm prego and she doesn't wanna get on my bad side) she has really put her best foot forward to get close to me and be on good terms and understand each other better. So tonight we went out to the family pool hall and played pool together. It was rather enjoyable.
This adventure spun me into writing frenzy tonight and helped me to bond some characters together better in one of my books, hopefully tommorow is as good!
Women's Conference
Currently: Sitting in a hotel lobby
Craving? Chocolate covered Almonds
So my mom gave me an opportunity to get outta town for a few days and I took her up on it....I'm starting to wish I didn't do it after all....These women were around when I was a baby and now that I'm the one having a baby they can't get over it and keep patting my head and calling me "little _____" everyone has something different and they keep downsizing everything I do, add to it that there are only 10 of us in total but at least 7 of those 10 want to be the one in charge and telling each other what to do. The term "Too many chiefs and not enough Indians." comes to mind with them and all the while they argue over what should be done and I walk away to do what they are all wanting to do but can't agree on how to do it then when they finally take time to notice I'm gone they realize that I just did what they wanted to do they way they finally agreed to do it. Is it really rocket science?
Needless to say I'm not enjoying myself very much. I kinda wish I hadn't said yes, but I'm here for three days and there is no getting around it. So Hubby needed pictures off the camera that he took the other day at work. When Rango came out they decided to have a reptile show in the movie theater lobby so he took pictures and had to send them to cooperate but they've had a few technical issues getting the pictures out so he asked me to email them to him since I had the computer. I'm not exactly okay, I've been here 2 hours and I'm crying my eyes out due to stress from these crazy women and their need to pet my hair and call me little, and the fact that after searching all over the hotel for free wifi (go figure that wifi is charged per room) and the only place is in the lobby...I don't know what's up but the wifi is super slow and I've only managed 20 pictures in the 2 hours I've been sitting here. I'm not too thrilled at its speed I've managed to make this blog in part, and send full description emails to my husband with what has been going on all day while I waited for the pics to upload. I can't get him on the phone and I need to get up early..dang hormones attacking me make it impossible to handle anything right now...I only want to get him on the phone explain that I can't keep going with this and that I love him and goodnight...I don't think I can handle all this right now until I at least hear his voice. I'll see how things go but for now I'm going to go ahead and go. Its late and my eyes are puffy and red.
Diaper Party Plans
Currently: Doing last minute set-ups for the Diaper Party
Craving? Nope! Just had some fudge!
So the diaper party is just around the corner and I have so much to do and so little time to do it all in!! I've been working all day long on getting all the decorations put up and running around like a mad woman wishing I was allowed to climb up on stuff to put it up on the walls but I won't risk something going wrong with my little bun, and neither will hubby...even if he's not home right now :( Two days till party!! :D
So now that all I have left is wall hangings that I can't do I am setting myself down in front of the loverly computer and forcing myself to do some much needed work on any of the books. Wish me luck!
Goodbye Pregnancy Issues!
Currently: Carrying my huge heavy purse over my shoulder
Craving: Coffee...sadly I am not allowed...
So I'm not sure if I shared...but I have been diagnosed with placenta previa. Its a bit gross so I won't go into details, though, you can look it up if you want. It wasn't anything that would harm the baby at all so I was fine and so was baby...but it meant that I couldn't get too worked up over stuff or carry heavy objects cause it would cause problems. As of today though, that has passed and I can say (happily) HELLO MY HEAVY BEAUTIFULLY FULL PURSE! Cause this whole time I have been treated like a cripple and not allowed to carry anything let alone my gigantic purse. *sigh* Thankfully, that horrible issue is over and I can do anything normally now :D
On the writing note, I spent some much needed time at Barnes & Nobel today sitting myself down in a corner to write and sneaking my power cord into a socket anytime I thought no one was looking. >.< I managed a few chapters and a load of editing on Lunar Eclipse. Here's hoping I finish something soon!
I just want to SCREAM!!
Currently: Sneezing my head off
Craving? Donuts.
So last night was a bust...hell most of YESTERDAY was a bust! Almost all day was spent yelling and screaming and crying. Sometimes I think the right move IS to kill my husband and ride on the whole mental defect bit of being pregnant. He can be a total butt munch sometimes and REALLY? I don't know how to handle him. I understand he has a bunch of physical issues coming up right now, and its hard on him...but so do I!! *sigh* I love him to death but sometimes I wonder where his priorities lie. Lets just say it wasn't a pretty sight to see us arguing like we did all day yesterday and most of today too. Though I managed to finish a bit more on Baby Shower Bingo, at least there is one plus right? I even pumped out a good 2,000 words for Lunar Eclipse.
Cotillion Ball
Currently: Getting my Hair done for he Ball
Craving? Earl Grey Tea
Well today is the day, my sister has been working hard, as has my mother, to get read for this day. My sister is part of the Cotillion Ball and I'm lucky enough to get to come and watch. Though on my part it seems to be a bit of a rush...as explained the other day, making sure the dress fits properly is a big part of things....being a constantly changing size doesn't really bode well when you're supposed to look your best. Not to mention it has some self confidence issues when you wear a dress that is nice and tight around the stomach...especially when you're as far along as I am but showing as if you're only 2-3 months in....so you only look like you don't know how to eat properly or that you have a beer gut. Now, if I were to be showing a lot more I think I wouldn't mind anywhere near as much.
Manic Monday!
Currently Watching: Torchwood: Season 2 on Netflix
Craving anything? Yes....ice-cream!! Double Fudge = YUM!
Okay so I know this post is a bit late in the day, but I really have been having a Manic Monday!It kinda kicked out last night pretty late, what with little Anthony kicking me and tossing and turning most of the night long so I didn't get much sleep but when I got up it was rush, rush, rush right out the door! I barely had time to shower and dress before the Mayhem started.
This Saturday is my sister's Cotillion Ball and as a photographer my mother wants me present to take pictures and such, but when you're pregnant you can't really pick out the dress till right before since you're constantly growing in size. So soon as my mother could she whisked me off to start the search for a good enough dress for the ball. Boy, did I feel like a weird version of Cinderella. Once we found a suitable dress it was off to find shoes to work with that and to make sure that they fit right with the dress so that if it needed to be hemmed they could send it off today.
Next I was sent off to find good materials for Anthony's play blanket so when he's on the floor in the living room he'll have something to set on instead of the floor. Since my husband and I haven't reached an agreement on the decorum of Anthony's room quite yet I had to pick out two versions one with a Hotwheels theme and the other Thomas the Tank Engine (NOT THOMAS THE TRAIN!) but it seems before I can get started on that I had to stop there and rush over to my Aunt-in-law's house to babysit for an hour or so. Why I even bothered is beyond me...Josh (my husband showed up within ten minutes of me since his work is right down the street and I just wound up sitting around working on next weeks illustrations for B is for Bonnie instead of the babysitting part since I'm supposed to be on BED REST right now...but alas....
Once we finished that I was stuck with food for both me and my husband...and a long drive home...and I can't cook at all! So let's just say I went with microwavable quickies and tried to call it a night...but as usual...the internet calls! So here I am trying to keep everyone up to date.
